Ads are appearing outside of the images in my slideshow. Why?

Last Updated: Apr 03, 2017 09:50PM UTC

Sometimes, when you have a slideshow on your webpage, our code could pick up all of the image tags in the slideshow regardless of which image is actually in the viewport (active). This creates a carousel effect of multiple In-Image ads on the webpage.

If the slideshow HTML has an active class (meaning there is some sort of an active tag that jumps from the displayed slideshow image to the next image when the new image is the one displayed in the viewport), you can implement a variation of this CSS to lower the opacity of the non-active images. This will resolve the multiple ads issue.

.example img {
   opacity: 0.69;
   filter: alpha(opacity=69);
}

.example .active img {
   opacity: 1;
   filter: alpha(opacity=100);
}

.example is the main class of the slideshow.
.active is the class that indicates an image is displayed in the viewport.

Note: If your slideshows do not have an active class, please see our attached document on how you can add an active class to your slideshows.
